Who we are
Cellulonova Research Solutions LLP (“Cellulonova”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is a research consultancy and histology services firm registered as a Limited Liability Partnership in India, with its registered office at Kairali Apartments, Building No. V8, 60/49 E, 3rd Floor, JC Chamber, Opposite Panampilly Nagar, Kochi, Kerala 682036, India.
We are the data fiduciary responsible for personal data collected through this website (www.cenors.com) and in the course of providing our research, histology and laboratory services. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the choices available to you.
Scope of this policy
This policy applies to visitors to our website, to researchers and institutions who send us enquiries, and to clients who engage us for consultancy, histology, histopathology, image analysis or preclinical research support.
It does not apply to third-party websites that we may link to, nor to data you supply directly to your own institution, ethics committee, funding body or regulator.
Separate and additional confidentiality terms may apply where a signed non-disclosure agreement, material transfer agreement or service contract is in place with you. Where those terms are more protective than this policy, those terms prevail.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Enquiry details — your name, institution or organization, email address, telephone number, research area and the service you are interested in.
- Project documents — research proposals, study outlines, protocols or other files you choose to upload or email to us.
- Engagement records — correspondence, quotations, work orders, sample submission forms, invoices and payment references.
- Any other information you volunteer in the free-text description field of our enquiry form or in later correspondence.
Information collected automatically
Our website is a static site and does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider records standard server log information — IP address, browser type, referring page, date and time of the request — for security, troubleshooting and aggregate traffic measurement. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google’s servers when a page loads.
Information we do not seek
We do not ask you to submit identifiable patient data through this website. If your research involves human tissue or human-derived data, please do not send identifiers; supply coded, pseudonymised or anonymised material in accordance with your ethics approval. If identifiable data reaches us inadvertently, we will inform you and securely delete or return it.
How we use your information
We use the information described above to:
- respond to your enquiry and assess whether we can support your project;
- prepare quotations, scopes of work, timelines and agreements;
- deliver the services you engage us for, including sample processing, analysis, interpretation and reporting;
- communicate with you about work in progress, results and deliverables;
- raise invoices, process payments and maintain accounting records;
- maintain quality, traceability and audit records for laboratory work;
- comply with legal, tax, ethical and regulatory obligations; and
- protect the security and integrity of our systems, samples and data.
We do not sell personal data. We do not use enquiry data for advertising, profiling or automated decision-making, and we do not add you to marketing lists without a clear request from you.
Our basis for processing
We process personal data on the basis of your consent, given when you submit an enquiry or engage our services, and where processing is necessary to perform a contract with you or to comply with a legal obligation in India.
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time by writing to director@cenors.com. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out, and may mean we can no longer continue an ongoing project.
Research samples, study data and confidentiality
Research material and study data entrusted to us are treated as confidential information of the submitting researcher or institution.
- Samples, slides, images, raw data and reports are used solely for the purpose of the engagement for which they were submitted.
- Access is restricted to the scientific and technical personnel working on your project, who are bound by confidentiality obligations.
- We do not publish, present or reuse your data, images or results without your written permission.
- Where a project is closed, residual blocks, slides and files are retained, returned or destroyed according to the terms agreed with you.
Please see our Terms of Use for the terms that govern sample handling, ownership of results and publication.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not set advertising, profiling or cross-site tracking cookies. Any cookie or local storage entry used is strictly functional — for example, remembering that you have closed a notice.
If we later introduce privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are useful, we will say so here and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent first. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site will continue to work.
When we share information
We share personal data only in these limited circumstances:
- Service providers — website hosting, email, form handling, cloud storage and payment processing, each acting on our instructions.
- Collaborating specialists — where a project requires a named external pathologist, imaging facility or analytical laboratory, and then only with the information needed for that step. Where the engagement requires it, we will tell you in advance.
- Professional advisers — auditors, accountants and legal advisers under a duty of confidentiality.
- Authorities — where disclosure is required by law, court order, or a lawful request from a regulatory or ethics body.
We do not transfer your project data to any third party for their own commercial purposes.
Storage location and international transfers
Our records are held in India. Some of the service providers we rely on — for example email and cloud storage — may store or process data on servers outside India. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure the provider applies security standards comparable to those described in this policy, and we limit what is transferred to what is necessary.
How long we keep information
- Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement — retained for up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Project correspondence, reports and data — retained for the duration of the engagement and for a reasonable period afterwards so results can be re-issued, queried or defended, typically five years unless a longer period is agreed or required.
- Physical material — paraffin blocks, slides and residual samples are retained for the period stated in your service agreement, after which they are returned or disposed of by approved biomedical waste routes.
- Financial and statutory records — retained for the period prescribed by Indian tax and company law.
You may ask us to delete material sooner, and we will do so unless we are required to keep it.
How we protect information
We apply reasonable security practices and procedures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold, including access control on devices and accounts, restriction of project data to the personnel working on it, secured premises for physical samples and records, and confidentiality obligations for partners, staff and contractors.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a breach occurs that is likely to affect you, we will notify you and the appropriate authority without undue delay, and tell you what we are doing about it.
Your rights
Subject to applicable Indian law, you may ask us to:
- confirm what personal data of yours we hold and why;
- provide a copy of that data;
- correct data that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date;
- erase data we no longer need or that you gave us with consent you now withdraw;
- restrict how we use it while a query is resolved; and
- nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf if you are unable to.
Write to director@cenors.com with the details of your request. We may ask you to verify your identity, and we will respond within a reasonable period, normally 30 days.
Children’s privacy
Our services are directed at researchers, institutions and organizations. This website is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
Third-party links
This website may link to external sites — for example professional networks, institutional pages or published literature. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites; please review their own policies before sharing information with them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services, our systems or the law. The revised version takes effect when it is published on this page, and the “last updated” date above will change. Where a change materially affects how we handle your data, we will tell you directly.
